General Drilling, Inc. follows the guidelines set by the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) concerning safety and training issues. Training for all employees is conducted under either Part 46 or Part 48 of the Code of Federal Regulations. This provides effective training and the flexibility to modify training to the specific needs of General Drilling. Upon hiring, as well as annually at our safety meetings, safety procedures are reviewed according to MSHA standards. Our MSHA approved part 46 training plan covers health and safety aspects of the task, introduction to the work environment, emergency medical procedures, escape and emergency evacuation procedures, company rules, first aid and CPR along with other safety issues.

General Drilling actively partakes in the Hearing Conservation Program laid out in part 62 of the Code of Federal Regulations. This is to prevent the occurrence or reduce the progression of occupational noise-induced hearing loss among miners. |
